Just walked dog down to river Aire and up to Leeds-Liverpool canal. The hedgerows are bursting with blossom and some fruit has already set. Looks like we'lll be having a bumper crop of sloes and crab apples - I foresee marathon sloe gin and jelly-making ahead :-) And the wild garlic is spreading further year by year - it'll be in our garden soon.
